Foodie Articles
Below is a collection of articles written by Chef Bonnie about
all things food. Join the Foodies and enjoy great food, and in
this case, good reading about great foods.

Culinary Team Building
Cooking is one of life's great lessons, an
ancient cornerstone that held people together in social groups.
When you can't cook, you break the chain of family history. Your
holidays will never smell like Grandma's, your house will never
smell as homey.
You probably lead a very busy lifestyle. You have
more things to do than time to do them. Gulping down breakfast
on the run, a luncheon sandwich between phone calls and the
never changing take out dinner in front of the T.V. may be more
familiar than a relaxed healthy meal. But what if you could
change all that with a bit of "KITCHEN EDUCATION?" Don't slip
off the culinary path and leave your family at the drive up
window.
Basic cooking skills are important. They teach
children skills such as counting, reading, how to follow
directions, fractions and organization. Food has always been a
perfect way to bring people together. Corporate trainers are
turning to Culinary Team Building, as it builds camaraderie,
energizes business meetings, improves working relationships and
communication skills.
Savories Personal Chef Service offers a variety
of cooking classes. Take a cooking class, explore new cuisine,
new techniques and improve your skills.
Besides all that, people are happy when preparing
food. It's the mysterious pleasure of bringing pleasure to
others.
Custom Meal Service
If you thought that
having your very own ‘Personal Chef’ was only for the Rich and
Famous, better think again! Granted it does have the ring of
opulence but if living the life of a millionaire eludes you for
the moment, you will be pleasantly surprised to learn that
procuring a Personal Chef is not only affordable, but in my
particular case, has shaved enough money off my food bill in one
month for a exhilarating weekend in Las Vegas! Shall I explain?
I met Personal Chef, Bonnie Snyder through a mutual friend who
had hired Bonnie to prepare a gourmet Vegetarian Thanksgiving
Dinner last year. She was thrilled with the results. From that
point Bonnie became my friend’s Personal Chef.
Good friends secretly share the identity of their Personal Chef
like they would a skilled plastic surgeon. Thus, word of mouth
is the best way of finding the exceptional Personal Chefs. Now
that Bonnie has become my Personal Chef we meet bi-monthly to
discuss the next two weeks worth of meals, new recipes, budget
and my goal to shed 30 pounds before my next high school
reunion.
Before having a Personal Chef, I poured dollars down the drain
every week on spoiled or dried up food, fruits and vegetables.
I’m not proud of the fact, it just kept happening. That amount,
coupled with wasteful spending on junk food and eating out in
deli’s, restaurants all the time, was ridiculous. I’ll also
admit that I had no willpower when it came to eating junk. As
for nutrition and portion control a ‘well-balanced diet’ to me
meant a gallon of ice cream in one hand and a whole chocolate
cake in the other. With Bonnie’s expert guidance I now
understand ‘portion control’ and by having delicious food ready
to eat in a moments notice have refrained from the feeding
frenzy of a bag of Fritos and block of Velveeta cheese for
dinner. Most surprising but best of all, I’ve discovered the
fact that …I’m worth having my own Personal Chef.
Food Choices and
Service
How many of you would like to improve your
eating habits?
I'm Bonnie Snyder, a USPCA Certified Chef. I
started Savories Personal Chef Service in 2001, preparing
healthy, delicious, nutritious meals for busy people who
don't have the time to cook, people who don't want to cook,
people who don't know how to cook, and significantly for
people who want to eat better than they ever have without
all the work! People who want an easy way to improve their
eating habits.
We're all different, we all have our own set
of food issues, whether it be emotional, practical,
whatever. It is vital for each person to find his or her own
distinct food plan. One that suits your particular
lifestyle, your eating habits, your likes and dislikes, your
schedule or any special needs.
Improving your eating habits, simply put, is
enjoying your food and making conscious decisions about the
best foods to put into your body so that it runs at an
optimum level of function.
Think of other "personal" services, fitness
trainers, personal shoppers, personal financial planners,
personal assistants, and add to that list a PERSONAL CHEF!
After meeting with you and defining
your own food style or special needs, Savories will plan,
shop, cook and package meals for you to easily pull out of
the fridge or freezer. Savories will custom fit its
service to your particular needs. When you start running
low, call Savories and we will submit another menu,
complying with your food plan, to again fill your kitchen
with healthy, delicious, nutritious food.
Life Just Got Easier
